Hiking is always
encouraged at Sharp Park free of charge. The summit of Cobble Hill is a
manadnock, a knob, with great views in all directions. It is a vigorous
hike to the summit which is over 300 feet vertically above the parking lots,
the paraglider landing fields, and the barn. There are less challenging
trails along old logging roads around the west and south sides of Cobble Hill
as well.
In the early spring the
wildflowers on Cobble Hill are something to see. We have thousands of
naturally growing trillium that literally blanket patches of Cobble Hill.
And in the fall the colors of the foliage, particularly in our 40 acre maple
sugar grove, are just spectacular.
Dogs are welcome at Sharp
Park and don’t have to be on a leash yet. Let’s keep it that way.
